JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Recruiting Manager position will play a crucial role in achieving staffing objectives by recruiting, screening, and orientating candidates for employment, volunteer, and internship positions for BGCMN. Developing and nurturing close relationships with universities, high schools, and other agencies to maintain a pool of qualified candidates for all positions will be a priority, as well as creating new relationships. A portion of the Recruiting Coordinator s time will be outside the agency in local and surrounding communities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Seek and secure qualified candidates for hire to fill BGCMN s employment, volunteer, and internship needs. 2. Work closely with Managers and Directors in identifying and tracking the Club s hiring needs. 3. Identify and create a robust and diverse recruiting plan to maximize quality applicants, as well as build new applicant sources. 4. Post positions utilizing a variety of sources, while staying on top of new trends and creative tactics. 5. Coordinate, attend, and/or register for recruiting events including but not limited to college and high school kiosks, classroom talks, community job fairs, etc. 6. Work closely with the Marketing Manager to create exposure and materials about the Club s hiring opportunities. 7. Pre-screen all candidates and interview part time candidates for employment, volunteer, and internship opportunities. Coordinate interviews for fulltime positions with Manager and/or Directors. 8. Conduct and manage criminal background checks. 9. Responsible for orientation process of new hires, volunteers/interns and providing correspondence. 10. Extend offers and/or declines for employment. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Back up for reference checks. 2. Partner with HR and Program departments to formulate a retention plan for BGCMN employees, volunteers, and interns. 3. Assist with National Volunteer Week recognition efforts. 4. Assist with trainings as directed. 5. Track and report recruiting efforts to leadership teams. 6. Assist in entering and updating employee information into HRIS. 7. Attend and participate in meetings as directed. 8. Assist with youth programs as needed. 9. Other duties, as assigned.
