About the Role

The Software Architect is responsible for selecting, defining, creating, and communicating the software architecture of the embedded software, ensuring it is compliant with the system architecture and software requirements.

As a SW Architect, you are part of the SW development team and responsible for the high-level design of new SW products. You define the structured solution that meets all technical and operational requirements. You are a developer with a comprehensive view of the SW. You will receive support from domain experts who provide puzzle pieces, and your job is to define a framework so all pieces fit together.

Your Responsibilities

  • General SW Development

  • Work with a team of software architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

  • Design and implement advanced software architecture solutions, ensuring scalability and efficiency, in compliance with a formal ASPICE/CMMi-based Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

  • Ensure project deliverables meet the agreed quality standards.

  • Conduct thorough comparative and competitive assessments to identify and implement the most effective and advantageous technological methods.

  • Ensure competitive technical proposals, engineering estimates, and technical review materials are provided per pursuit targets and agreed-upon timing in support of the sales target.

  • Facilitate customer engagements and address stakeholder requirements, ensuring effective communication and satisfaction.

Who we are looking for

  • Experience in software architecture for automotive electronics serial development projects.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in SW development for automotive electronics.

  • Proven proficiency in using UML, Enterprise Architect, or similar modelling tools for effective system design and architecture.

  • Experience in designing and developing modular, reusable, and portable software for the automotive sector.

  • Experience with structured software development methodologies, particularly ASPICE or CMMi frameworks.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (Master’s preferred).

  • Strong self-motivation, resilience, and a determined mindset are crucial qualities for success in this role.

  • Advanced English language level (verbal &written).

Your preferred qualifications

  • Proficiency in AUTOSAR-based tools (e.g., Vector, Electrobit) and Embedded Linux.

  • Skilled in designing/developing systems using Multi-core and/or SoC architectures.

  • Expertise in Driver Monitoring Systems, Machine Learning, Image Processing, and DSPs.

  • Advanced in implementing Cybersecurity measures and ensuring Functional Safety.

  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D).

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams, organizational planningand effective project management

  • Certifications in software architecture.
