Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. This role primarily involves resolving customer deductions in a timely and effective manner, managing and collecting customer accounts, and maintaining excellent customer relationships in the food industry.

Responsibilities:

• Review and identify invalid customer deductions to initiate recovery of funds

• Implement preventative measures to eliminate future deductions

• Analyze and resolve chargebacks, shortages, or price discrepancies

• Engage with external customers as required to resolve issues and clear deductions

• Collect accounts receivable through active telephone, email, and customer portal collection procedures

• Research open Cash on Account amounts to facilitate clearing

• Investigate customer payment information, adjusting accounts receivable as needed to accurately reflect each account payment and deduction status

• Provide backup support for releasing orders on credit hold

• Assist with updating customer master with new contact data, payment methods, terms, invoice delivery, and any other relevant information

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Chargebacks Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Cash Applications and Cash Collections

• Familiarity with Commercial Collections and Chargebacks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
