Position Description:

We are seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our CGI team! You will have an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and determined team that will be assisting a local Northern California public sector client to successfully transform how they provide services to their citizens.

This position is located at our Sacramento, CA office with work performed at the client site in Sacramento, CA area. You will be required to be at the client’s site 3-4 days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

How you'll make an impact

Operate, monitor, and support Azure Services, on-going support of DevOps Tool set, and serve as CI/CD expert while assisting project development staff with cloud platform technologies.

• Automation and Integration:

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software release process Integrate azure and various other tools and services into the pipeline release process

• Infrastructure Management:

Strong understanding of Azure Architecture and Services. Under direction of Cloud Architect, Design, Build, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Azure ARM Templates and Terraform.

Proficiency in scripting languages including Powershell, Python, or Pearl.

Experience with Kubernetes and Azure Web services. Monitor and manage Azure Cloud Services.

Solid understanding of Azure Cloud Networking Advanced proficiency of account management with focus on use of Microsoft Entra ID and OpenSSH certificate-based authentication.

Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with development, testing, reporting, and operational teams as related to software release. Ability to work independently and as part of team. Strong problem-solving and Troubleshooting skills.

• Security and Compliance:

Solid understanding of access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.

• Incident Management:

Respond to and resolve incidents related to the system and conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

What you'll bring

• Minimum 5 years of Infrastructure Engineer experience

• Minimum 3 years of Azure experience

• Minimum 2 years of Kubernetes experience

• Scripting experience with languages such as Powershell, Python, Pearl, Or Bash

• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD principles and automation tools

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure ARM templates or Terraform

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes - a plus)

• Strong understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Azure Tools, ElastiCloud)

• Azure Foundations, Azure Administrator or equivalent Azure Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $94,400 - $165,200."
