The Fleet Systems Analyst performs routine business analysis using various techniques, researches best practices and supports developing solutions and recommendations for optimal system operations. The incumbent will work as a member of a team to manager software systems and manages all data related to fleet metrics, ensures data integrity for accurate reporting, creates goals, and makes data driven decisions to improve organizational efficiency and improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Organizes and maintains data in fleet systems; develops and integrates new systems into different company locations; performs system updates and completes testing to ensure proper operation and minimize opportunity for errors.
- Serves as technical support for company use of fleet software system; resolves issues for end users and troubleshoots application errors to ensure that the software is always working properly.
- Interprets data to identify business trends, conducts root cause analysis of business problems, and suggests areas for process improvement.
- Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on business data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership; composes queries or reports to provide data for various analytical projects.
- Improves system processes for hardware and software; completes upgrades and improvements to software systems as needed; implements tablets and integration checklists.
- Integrates data from multiple sources or functional areas and ensures data accuracy and integrity; completes implementations for any company acquisitions, including data collection & entry, system set up, hardware ordering, and user training.
- Develops and delivers custom application training and documentation in a variety of mediums, including paper and online, computer-based training, classes, and workshops to assist end users in acquiring the knowledge and ability to employ the program to meet business needs.
- Oversees the month end close process for the software systems and ensures all policies and procedures are followed in the field.
- Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and its products and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong critical and analytical thinking skills; Ability to develop and mentor others; Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office; Working knowledge of fleet maintenance systems; Ability to manage complex tasks and multitask; Experience or interest in environmental and/or sustainability field; Experience with general fleet management, maintenance systems and VMRS codes; Experience with DOT regulatory compliance and Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
