About this Role

Probst Electric is looking for a new Tooling Manager in Rupert Idaho!

What You'll Do

  • Oversee, direct, and coordinate the scheduling and planning of all Tooling and Equipment in the tool room

  • Monitor work progress on individual work orders and influence scheduling changes with the Tooling Department

  • Controls MRO Tooling and Equipment spare parts inventory

  • Ensure continuous improvements at all levels and in all processes within the scope of responsibility

  • Manage the departmental budgets for equipment costs, planned shutdown activities, etc

  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, and reporting of Tooling Department activities through morning meetings with the team.

  • Order all essential materials/equipment/etc. required for the Tooling Department

  • Create and manage Tooling department internal procedures and documentation

  • Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Tooling Manager

  • Abide by all Company polices

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach, and lift/move up to 10 pounds

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures

  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company

  • Job will require work in the tooling shop, fixing and maintaining used tooling to make sure it is satisfactory and safe to go out to the next job.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, five years of automotive manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must have basic knowledge of Tooling Management systems.

  • Must have a strong knowledge of Tool Room Best Practices

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with the ability to develop and maintain reports and graphs, and inventory management system (CMS)

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.

  • Must have excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Must be able to work independently, multi-task, and adapt to changes in schedules and requirements.

  • Must have a good knowledge of the English language.

  • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
