Lisa Cole with Robert Half is searching for a dedicated and experienced Controller to join a dynamic company as the Corporate Controller. This critical role is responsible for the integrity of our financial accounting processes, records, and reporting. As a successful Controller, you will provide our executive management team with strategic data, enabling informed business decisions while influencing crucial business processes. This role requires an advanced understanding of financial reporting, ledger accounting, GAAP standards, and the capability to manage accounting, tax, and other key administrative tasks in a complex organization. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of financial closing processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Manage all general ledger items. • Ensure biweekly payroll complies with federal and state laws.

• Coordinate responses to external audits with relevant parties.

Ensure tax compliance including federal and multistate income tax and sales & use tax. • Work with tax preparers to optimize income tax handling and manage tax returns.

• Prepare and submit reports for tax authorities.

• Partner with the broader finance team to manage treasury.

• Monitor cash flow projections.

• Maintain banking relationships and manage lender compliance.

• Continuously update accounting processes and tools.

• Adapt to company growth by integrating appropriate systems.

• Refine and communicate organizational reimbursement policies.

• Manage professional relationships including audit, tax, insurance, and ERP providers.

• Provide leadership on risk mitigation practices.

• Administer the company's insurance program in collaboration with brokers.

• Oversee legal contracting process.

• Lead the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Drive staff performance through effective hiring, training, supervision, and performance management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles; experience as a controller in a mid-size or large organization preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, General Business, or Finance

• Advanced qualifications such as a CPA or a master’s in accountancy strongly preferred.
