The Senior Director, Security Engineering and Identity will be responsible for overseeing the selection, design, implementation and maintenance of Information and Cyber Security tools and technologies. The Senior Director will set the strategy and create roadmaps to ensure processes and technologies remain relevant in an ever-changing security landscape and evolving regulatory requirements are met.

Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Sr Director Security Engineering & Identity position is completed 100% remotely anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a senior leader in the Information and Cyber Security team, setting and driving strategy, developing leaders and individual contributors and creating a culture of continuous learning and partnership

• Lead the teams responsible for all aspects of Security Engineering and Identity and Access Management, including the design, implementation, and support of all Enterprise Security platforms, to include Identity and Access Management platforms, Logging and monitoring, and prevention and detection tools

• Partner across technology to develop and implement long term strategies for vulnerability management, secure networking, secure cloud build and DevSecOps integrity

• Maintain current levels of support for all Security hardware and software

• Install and configure both standard and new security technologies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all US Foods system, both on premise and in the cloud.

• Ensure all systems are regularly patched with the latest security and maintenance updates

• Responsible for capacity monitoring and recommendations on capacity forecasts for budget planning

• Provide expert technical advice for all security engineering and infrastructure related IT Roadmaps and Strategies

• Responsible for managing the budget and driving down costs of security engineering services, providing the best service with minimizing waste

SUPERVISION

• This role will lead at least two directors immediately, Director of Governance Risk and Compliance and Director of Identity and Access Management

• Provide indirect supervision of the team members under the above listed directors, to be up to 20 individuals

RELATIONSHIPS

• Internal: ITLT/EITLT, IT People Leaders, Business Partners, Project Managers, HR, DevOps, PO/BAs

• External: Manage vendor relationships for all Security Tools, to include contract support

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This job is listed as blended and should be located near a US Foods office or willing to travel to one.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-10 years’ experience leading multiple technical engineering teams required. 5 years in Information and Cyber Security. 5 years’ experience working closely with a VP or CIO level strongly preferred

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage and empower leaders to make hard decisions and move initiatives forward

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience in engineering, to include tool selection, organizational-wide tool implementation, process compliance and efficacy measures.

• Ability to manage a budget, to include vendor management and contract resourcing

• Minimal travel required, about 20%

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent professional experience, Master’s Degree preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience leading multiple engineering teams, with a range of senior and junior talent

• Experience with metrics-based reporting, demonstrating strengths and weaknesses of enterprise systems

• Experience in Identity and Access Management program, including multi-factor authentication, Single Sign On, and/or identity federation in both cloud and on-prem

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $141,800 and $189,000. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $157,00 and $210,400. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $149,900 and $199,900. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $149,900 and $199,900. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
