Inpatient Pharmacy Technician
Shifts that might be assigned include 8 and 10 hour shifts beginning as early as 8AM and ending as late as 7PM Monday through Friday.
Pharmacy Technicians in the Inpatient Pharmacy will assist pharmacists with the safe preparation and delivery of medications to clinical care areas throughout Uintah Basin Medical Center Hospital and and Clinics, including locations throughout the Uintah Basin. Duties will mainly be located in Roosevelt but may require travel to Vernal or other clinics maintained by Uintah Basin Healthcare. Typical duties include but are not limited to: inventory management, replenishing automated dispensing cabinets, dose preparation of sterile compounded medications including necessary calculations, revenue/charge capture activities and cleaning/disinfection of sterile preparation areas. Inpatient Pharmacy Technicians will be required to complete training and demonstrate competency with the standards of USP797 and USP800.
Job Requirements:
- History of consistent, reliable and positive performance at previous employers.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician Program.
- Current Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Utah.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
