Georgia Northwestern Technical Field Placement Coordinator PT WMC in Rome, Georgia

The GNTC Economic Development Division is seeking a part-time as-needed Field Placement Coordinator for the Bilingual Childhood Development Associate Program located at the Whitfield/Murray Campus in Dalton, Georgia, and may be required to travel to other campuses to meet operational requirements. The Field Placement Coordinator is responsible for tracking student progress, working with local schools and daycare centers, and providing support for the Bilingual Childhood Associate training program. Work time/hours will be mutually agreed upon between GNTC and this individual.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Track student progress;
  • Monitors student volunteer hours,
  • Works with local childcare centers for student placement;
  • Assist students with portfolios;
  • Schedule field trips to childcare centers, community events, etc.;
  • Communicates with students regularly;
  • Maintains student records;
  • Serve as liaison with GNTC and local childcare centers and schools;
  • Support the CDA program;
  • Other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Childhood Development Associate Credential. In-field work experience. Demonstrate current knowledge of trends within the field. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching and/or leadership experience in Early Childhood Education. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. A sound understanding of and passion for the subject matter. A growth mindset and excellent networking abilities. Bi-lingual, preferably English and Spanish.

Physical Demands:

Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects to a light to medium weight. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.

If the job involves driving, physical requirements include the ability to operate a vehicle and sit for extended periods.

Salary:

$25.00/ hr

Benefits: If this is a part-time position, no benefits are available.
