- Monday - Friday 11pm - 7am (flexible)
Major Job Function:
This position is responsible to improve the skill and ability of Press Operators and Press Assistants through meaningful and effective training techniques. Training will come in the form of both classroom and hands on training while producing customer ordered material. The trainer will work during the night shifts and will collaborate with shift leadership. Training topics to include but not limited to analyzing, correcting, setting-up, inspecting, materials, and machine readiness to meet customer and organizational requirements including on-time, quality, and productivity.
Primary Duties:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily and meet all health, safety, and housekeeping regulations. Collaborate with machine team members in analyzing, adjusting, and correcting issues at designated machines that affect the ability to run quality product
This position will have a heavy emphasis on training both tenured and newly hired employees in the safe and efficient operation of all printing press equipment. Training will come in the form of classroom training as well as on the job training.
Must have the ability to clearly communicate and train machine operation to employees with varying degrees of mechanical, reading, and comprehension skills.
This position may require the creation of training documentation.
This position will require advanced print defect troubleshooting and resolution.
Inspection and testing during production to ensure standards are met and adjust as needed.
Complete all necessary documents for internal or external use.
Effectively work with other departments or team members including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervision, customer service and others.
Works with minimum supervision and must be a self-starter.

- 5-10 years: 5 years or more where training others was the primary function of the position
