We are in search of a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York. This role will be focused on the telecommunications industry, particularly dealing with wireless broadband, coax cable, and GIS - Graphic Information Systems. This position offers a long term contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement telecommunications systems by evaluating customer needs and system requirements.

• Manage Avaya CMS, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Access and Excel.

• Stay updated with latest developments in the telecommunications industry, particularly wireless broadband, coax cable, and GIS - Graphic Information System.

• Evaluate systems hardware and software requirements and capabilities and make recommendations.

• Troubleshoot telecommunications issues and implement appropriate solutions.

• Conduct network system audits and monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users.

• Collaborate with other team members to understand and meet the telecommunications needs of the organization.

• Ensure the security of the telecommunications systems by implementing and maintaining security policies.

• Train users on the use of telecommunications systems and provide technical assistance when necessary.

• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements • Proficient in Wireless Broadband technology and its applications

• Experience with Coax Cable setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of GIS - Graphic Information System and its uses in telecommunications

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with diverse team members

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

• Strong communication skills to explain complex information in a clear and simple manner

• Familiarity with telecommunications systems, protocols, and standards

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in telecommunications technology
