University of Rochester Project Assistant I in Rochester, New York

GENERAL PURPOSE:

At the direction of the Customer Technology manager, assists with workstation setup, deployment and support. Works with project manager and senior technicians to ensure project deadlines are met and work is documented. Some independent judgement and decision making is necessary.

NOTE: This is an end dated position to end in August 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Unpack, image and configure workstations, laptops and carts with direction from Supervisor and/or designated resources.

  • Assists in the deployment of new and replacement systems, printers and other peripherals, ensuring customer satisfaction, accuracy, timelines and priority are all met.

  • In collaboration with Customer Technology team, provides end user support to departmental and clinical staff members, hardware/software vendors and various other information systems users, employing proper telephone etiquette and customer service methods.

  • Updates computer inventory, software license and other related databases with direction from Supervisor and/or designated resources.

  • Works collaboratively with the workstations project team to ensure accurate and complete documentation is obtained in order to input critical information into the database.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited high-school education system required.

  • No work or volunteer experience required

  • Excellent organizational skills required.

  • Solution oriented with a positive attitude required.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Reliable and able to establish trust with your team members required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $16.50 - $21.45 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
