Job Description:

Summary:

The Enterprise Architect provides expertise in one or more technology, business, or continuum process disciplines within the Chief Technology Office. This predominantly comes in the form of strategy, standards, architecture process and/or consulting. The core disciplines and areas of focus are Business, Integration, Data, Application, Technology, and Continuum Process (Architectural & Strategy Governance, eSDLC management, resource, capacity, demand, repositories, etc.). Enterprise Architects provide thought leadership within these disciplines that contribute to a progressive Target State Architecture and a highly functioning Chief Technology Office that ensures the strategic and architectural integrity of the organization.

Essential Accountabilities:

Level I:

Authors, Sponsors, Enables, and/or Promotes technology/business strategies that support the reference and target state architectures.

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in one of the following disciplines (Business, Integration, Data, Application, Technology, Continuum Process).

Works collaboratively with other Enterprise Architects to provide a holistic and synergistic technology/business architecture approach.

Consults with Solution Architects & Business Analysts to integrate reference and target state architectures into technology and business solutions.

Authors, Sponsors, Enables, and/or Promotes technology/business standards that provide architectural building blocks to support the reference and target state architecture and solution designs.

Responsible for communicating Target State Architectures and roadmaps to Solution Architects and key business/technology decision makers to ensure solutions are designed in alignment with core Architecture and Strategic Guiding Principles.

Utilizes and supports the Solution Design Life Cycle (SDLC) through the Strategy and Architectural phases.

Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

Level II (in addition to Level I Accountabilities)

Provides advanced level of thought leadership in one or more of the following disciplines (Business, Integration, Data, Application, Technology, Continuum Process).

Researches and identifies areas of innovation with the intent to advance technical/business capabilities through the effective use of technology or process.

Advanced level of subject matter expertise in one or more of the following disciplines (Business, Integration, Data, Application, Technology, Continuum Process).

Provides direct support to Principal level and Deputy Chief Architects to advance not only discipline related strategies/standards, but also at an Enterprise level.

Level III (in addition to Level II Accountabilities)

Analyzes industry, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services, to inform and influence business and IT direction.

Acts as mentor to Level I/II Enterprise and Solution Architects.

Acts as spokesperson on company's technical designs and future directions across multiple business and technology domains.

Builds executive-level relationships to become a trusted advisor for technology strategies.

Assumes leadership roles for Enterprise level technologies and processes to advance the strategic and architectural integrity.

Provides consultation and architecture services at the highest efficiency level through business/industry knowledge and expertise

Minimum Qualifications:

All Levels

Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of degree, six (6) years of experience.

Six (6) years of related work experience within a core Business or Technology discipline.

Significant knowledge and experience in a Business, Integration, Data, Application, Technology or Architectural Continuum.

Extensive overall knowledge in technology systems, practices and architectural techniques.

Outstanding organizational skills.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Outstanding collaboration skills both within and outside of department.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Capable of rapidly understanding new concepts and ideas. Ability to understand complex matters and problem solve.

Level II (in addition to Level 1 Qualifications)

Eight (8) years of related experience, of which two (2) years of business or technology architecture related experience.

Advanced knowledge and experience in a Business, Integration, Data, Application, Technology or Architectural Continuum.

Proven capacity to work independently and manage multiple, competing demands.

Proven capability to lead small to medium size initiatives around core Business and/or Technology disciplines that advance the strategic/architectural integrity of an organization.

Level III (in addition to Level II Qualifications)

Ten (10) years of related experience, of which four (4) years of business or technology architecture related experience.

Subject Matter Level Expertise and experience in a Business, Integration, Data, Application, Technology or Architectural Continuum.

Proven capability to lead small to medium size initiatives around core Business and/or Technology disciplines that advance the strategic/architectural integrity of an organization.

Proven capability to lead large size initiatives around core Business and/or Technology disciplines that advance the strategic/architectural integrity of an organization.

Leader in advancing Architecture and Strategy at an Enterprise Level that advances the effectiveness and efficiency of the technology ecosystem.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.

Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.

Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.

Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.
