Revlon Senior Manager, Enterprise Data in Roanoke, Virginia

The Sr. Manager of Enterprise Data will report to the VP, IT Corporate Systems & Analytics and will collaborate across key functional domains and business lines.

This position will be based out of the Roanoke, Virginia office and is a hybrid role with in-office requirements.

Job Purpose:

Oversees a team of analysts that analyze and enrich master data elements and optimize the flow of data between systems (internal/external) and functionalities, along with providing strategic guidance as it relates to Master data.

This position manages data governance and ensures data integrity by leading data management efforts across the organization. The Sr. Manager oversees initiatives for improving data management processes.

Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager of Enterprise Data is responsible for the overall management of Revlon’s data program. This role will oversee the availability, usage, integrity, and security of data assets, as well as the external data ecosystem. This role has responsibility for aligning data policy and administration with relevant regulatory, legal and ethical mandates. This role is also responsible for organizing and leading a team of Global Data Stewards in establishing, maintaining and communicating data standards to the broader organization. The Sr. Manager of Enterprise Data will partner with Global Process Leaders to ensure data standards and data improvement efforts are aligned with process & system program priorities and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Authority and accountability to foster and exploit the value of enterprise information assets by establishing and leading a data governance program.

  • Work with Global Process Teams and subject matter experts to establish a vision and culture that embraces data as a global cross-corporate asset.

  • Identify and standardize the use and governance of information in support of the overall global business strategy.

  • Develop and maintain controls on data quality, interoperability and sources to effectively manage corporate risk.

  • Identify new kinds, types and sources of data to drive business innovation throughout the organization. Define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new data.

  • Organize and lead a data governance council.

  • Develop data stewardship business process descriptions and process models/maps.

  • Define and manage policies and programs which advance the role of business data stewards in concert with legal, information security, and corporate risk and compliance offices.

  • Work with Global Data Stewards to develop data standards and rules for cleansing, mapping, integrating, managing and establishing hierarchies for key company data.

  • Provide leadership in the areas of data governance, master data management, data migration to the process & system teams during blueprinting, deployment and steady state operations activities.

  • Define job roles, recruit candidates and manage directly or indirectly a team of data governance leaders globally.

  • Define, manage, and control master data and metadata management policies, controls, and standards, including reference data.

  • Lead the development, publication and maintenance of the corporate information architecture, as well as a road map for its future development that matches and supports business needs.

  • Lead the deployment and management of data quality monitoring systems. Measure master data and reference data for compliance to policy standards and conceptual models.

  • Define information strategy practices, lead the creation, and assure the ongoing relevance of the company’s information strategy in conjunction with the VP, IT Corporate Systems & Analytics.

Additional responsibilities, as the role and team mature:

  • Be a marketing champion for the information services that the enterprise provides and the information management capabilities it has.

  • Ensure that appropriate audit controls exist for data that serves as the source material for regulatory reports.

  • Partner with IT to coordinate requirements gathering for the integration and staging of data.

Education

A bachelors’ degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 10+years of business experience, ideally in business management, legal, financial or information management. Broad business experience internally and within the vertical industry is desired.

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.

  • Experience in integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and information strategies, and/or designing strategic metrics and scorecards.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.

  • Demonstrated leadership; proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions.

  • Proven data literacy — the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business, IT and stakeholders.

  • Information strategy experience; experience in strategic technology planning and execution, and policy development and maintenance.

  • Analytical skills: outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists; the ability to sell ideas and process internally at all levels, including the board and investors.

  • Broad experience desired, but not essential, in multiple domain areas, such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, MDM, data standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
