We are on the hunt for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our manufacturing team in Roanoke, Virginia. This role entails overseeing our accounts receivables process, leading a team of specialists, and building strong relationships with customers. Your expertise in identifying and implementing process improvements will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our Accounts Receivables function.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire accounts receivables process, which includes invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounts receivables specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve any billing issues or disputes

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the Accounts Receivables function

• Prepare and analyze Accounts Receivables reports, including aging reports, collection forecasts, and cash flow projections

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivables

• Work closely with other departments, including sales, customer service, and finance, to address any accounts receivables-related issues and support overall business objectives

• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ERP Solutions, and Great Plains (GPAC) for efficient and accurate accounting functions

• Handle billing functions and collection processes effectively

• Monitor cash activity to ensure it aligns with the company's financial goals

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions

• Knowledge in Great Plains (GPAC)

• Proficiency in IBM AS/400

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to handle Billing Functions

• Experience in managing Cash Activity

• Knowledge of Collection Processes

• A degree in finance, accounting or a related field

• Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in the manufacturing industry

• Proven leadership and team management skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Good organizational and multitasking skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Familiarity with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
