We are seeking a Senior Logistics & Interface Engineer to join our team and take a pivotal role in overseeing and supervising site operations in a large complex infrastructure project.

Jacobs is construction supervision consultant for a multi-billion development mixed-use historic, culture and lifestyle destination. The project will be the Kingdom’s historic and cultural heart, proudly showcasing to the world Saudi Arabia’s 300 years of history through an engaging and inspiring set of heritage, hospitality, education, retail and dining experiences for residents and visitors.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Logistics & Interface Engineer specializing in site supervision, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient project delivery, all while promoting teamwork and collaboration on the construction site.

Make a difference. You will be a key part of our site supervision team and will be heavily involved our infrastructure construction projects. In addition, your duties will be to:

  1. Crushing activities:

· Review and approve the crushing strategy of the contractor.

· Coordinate with the PMC and the sitewide logistics PMC to obtain the necessary areas to establish the crushers.

· Ensure that the contractor will fulfill the Environmental requirements to obtain the permit

· Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

· Monitor the progress of crushing activities and take necessary actions to meet project milestones and deadlines.

· Perform regular site inspections and meetings with the contractor to identify and resolve issues and provide technical guidance to the on-site team.

· Monitor the contractor to ensure that they follow the approved planning and resource allocation to complete the works on time.

· Ensure that works are compliance with legal regulations and company procedures. Prepare project status reports and other project specific documentation under coordination with the RE.

  1. Stockpile management:

· Review and approve the stockpile management strategy of the contractor.

· Coordinate with the PMC and the sitewide logistics PMC to obtain the necessary areas to establish the stockpiles.

· Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

· Monitor the progress of utility excavation material flow into and out of the stockpiles and take necessary actions to meet project milestones and deadlines.

· Perform regular site inspections and meetings with the contractor to identify and resolve issues and provide technical guidance to the on-site team.

· Monitor the contractor to ensure that they follow the approved planning and resource allocation to complete the works on time.

· Ensure that works are compliance with legal regulations and company procedures. Prepare project status reports and other project specific documentation under coordination with the RE.

  1. Project haul road and LAAR management:

· Coordinate with the PMC and the sitewide logistics PMC to obtain the necessary approvals for project required haul roads.

· Coordinate with the PMC and the sitewide logistics PMC to relocate/divert haul roads as per the contractor’s requirements.

· Interface with the sitewide logistics PMC related to LAAR’s required by the contractor and ensuring that the contractor fills and submits the required Area Access Request Form to obtain the permit of these LAAR’s.

· Perform regular site inspections and meetings with the contractor to identify and resolve issues and provide technical guidance to the on-site team.

· Monitor the contractor to ensure that they follow the approved planning and resource allocation to complete the works on time.

· Ensure that works are compliance with legal regulations and company procedures. Prepare project status reports and other project specific documentation under coordination with the RE.

  1. Coordination and interface with side wide logistics PMC related to building demolition:

· Coordinate with the PMC and the sitewide logistics PMC to ensure that demolitions are on track and the areas are handed over to the contractor without delays to proceed with infrastructure works.

· Raise red flags if demolition activities might delay areas to be handed over to the contractor on time and inform the side wide logistics PMC what areas they should prioritize.

· Perform regular site inspections and meetings with the contractor and side wide logistics PMC to identify and resolve issues and provide technical guidance to the on-site team.

· Monitor the contractor to ensure that they follow the approved planning and resource allocation to complete the works on time.

· Ensure that works are compliance with legal regulations and company procedures. Prepare project status reports and other project specific documentation under coordination with the RE.

  1. Precast yard deliveries coordination:

· Coordinate with the Contractor and agree on a schedule of precast deliveries on site.

· Coordinate with the contractor to identify the areas where the precast material will be stored and coordinate with the PMC and the sitewide logistics PMC to obtain the necessary approvals for those areas.

· Monitor the contractor to ensure that they follow the approved planning and resource allocation to complete the works on time.

· Ensure that works are compliance with legal regulations and company procedures. Prepare project status reports and other project specific documentation under coordination with the RE.

  1. Interface:

· Interface with the sitewide logistics PMC related to LAAR’s required by the contractor and ensuring that the contractor fills and submits the required Area Access Request Form to obtain the permit of these LAAR’s.

· Interface with other contractors to ensure that no obstructions will be in place for the Infra contractor.

· Interface with other stakeholders available on site (SEC, PMC’s, client, etc)

· Review the contractors submitted Traffic Management plans and coordinate with the PMC and sitewide logistics PMC to get the Traffic Management plans approved.

  1. Quality Assurance:

· Implement and maintain quality control measures to guarantee the delivery of a high-standard infrastructure project.

· Under coordination with the RE responsible to ensure that the project meets industry standards, building codes and project specifications.

· Under the lead of the RE do the required reviews and approvals for all Contractors submittals like (WIRs, MIRs, SORs, NCRs, MSRA, Shop drawings, etc)

· Review, approve and monitor the contractors Logistics Plan

  1. Safety and Compliance:

· Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all site personnel adhere to safety regulations and best practices.

· Stay up-to-date with local regulations and ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabian construction laws.

  1. Team Collaboration:

· Foster a collaborative work environment by effectively communicating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.

· Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical support to junior engineers and site staff.

· Under the lead of the RE be part and do the required communication with the project stakeholders

  1. Problem Solving:

· Identify and resolve site-related issues and make informed decisions to keep the project on track.

· Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and respond to unexpected challenges.

· Identify potential risks and under coordination of the RE and CRE create mitigation strategies.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.

· Proven experience as a Senior Engineer in infrastructure and construction projects, with a minimum of 8 years in site supervision roles.

· A strong understanding of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and standards.

· Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

· Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

· Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering tools.
