The Opportunity

CBRE Saudi Arabia is looking to appoint an intern for an ongoing Mega Project in Eastern Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The intern will join the CBRE Industrial and Logistics Advisory Team for a period of 6 months (extendable by another 3 months). The location of work would be in Riyadh during the internship – remote work with participation in market visits, interactions with market players and Client (based in Dammam).

In this role, the intern will work with the team of 3 to 5 consultants, to identify, and recommend potential solutions for a specific client problem or challenge. Over the course of the project, the intern will gather and analyse information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations to the CBRE project team. The intern with also support with the interactions with various project stakeholders in the region (government as well as private) leveraging on their bi-lingual skills (viz. English & Arabic).

The intern will be joining a team with specialized service offering within a Global firm. It will help accelerate their development as an Industry Professional by getting exposure to strategy planning towards the fast-growing industrial & logistics segment.

At the end of your internship, you may receive an offer to join us as a full-time analyst (based in Riyadh), after the completion of your degree and based on your performance against set Key Performance Indicators:

Key Tasks

On-ground Data collection (Eastern region and KSA):

  • Agricultural and food processing sector performance related datasets

  • Infrastructure availability linked to the Agri-based supply chain.

  • Cargo movement from and to the Eastern Region and KSA

  • Key logistics developments

  • Infrastructure initiatives – ports, airports, railways, and roads

  • Policy and regulations related to logistics development, trade & transportation and related incentives.

Stakeholder Interactions:

  • Identification of key stakeholders relevant for the project research in collaboration with the team

  • Involvement in the interactions and bi-lingual (English and Arabic) support wherever required

  • Preparation of minute of meetings

  • Tracking follow-up actions from the meetings

Project Co-ordination:

  • On-ground project support in terms of documentation and preparation of deliverables etc.

  • Is a Final Year student currently studying towards a Bachelors in Business Administration or similar.

  • Is able to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.

  • Capable of driving an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project.

  • Comfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.

  • Able to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.

  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and Arabic language.
