Calender Technician

Position Overview

Summary

To assist production associates as they create high performing, customer-centric flooring products. Will assist a team of approximately 5 hourly associates to achieve targets established for safety, service, quality, cost, and continuous improvement. Reports to the Calender Lead.

Duties (Essential & Non-Essential)

• Follow the rules and guidelines set out in the Shaw Associate Guide

• Work safely and cooperatively with the members of your team and all Shaw associates

• Make decisions based upon what we teach you about making the best luxury vinyl tile for our customers.

• Look at stuff and see if it is right. If it isn’t, fix it or find someone that can.

• Look at the order information and make sure that is what we are making.

• Make it the best quality so our customers will buy more of it.

• Watch your section of the production process and make sure it’s doing what it is supposed to do.

• Help your teammates, your boss and Shaw Industries be our best.

• Dream up new ways to make our products better, our people happier and your life awesome.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have fun and treat your teammates with respect.

• Must have the ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math.

• Must be able to pass a color blindness and vision test.

• Must be familiar with current manufacturing computer systems and software.

• Must have the ability to be cross trained for other jobs.

• Must have a passion for achieving results

• Must be able to work professionally with all Shaw associates and our guests.

• Must make good, safe decisions in a timely manner.

• Must make decisions like and think like the owner of this business.

Work Shift

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
