Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the local government sector, located in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The role is for a Receptionist, where the main job function would be to assist the police department with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Answer multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries in a timely manner

• Provide customer service in person and over the phone

• Greet customers and visitors to the department

• Perform light administrative duties to support the department

• Data entry and email correspondence as required

• Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to complete tasks

• Organize files and maintain a clean and efficient workspace

• Schedule appointments and meetings as needed

• Use interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and the public Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word

• Experience in answering multi-line phone systems

• Demonstrated customer service skills

• Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy

• Experience in handling email correspondence professionally

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with diverse individuals

• Proven ability in organizing files and maintaining records

• Experience in scheduling appointments in a timely and efficient manner

• Familiarity with local government operations and protocols

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
