Senior Project Manager

Job Description

Seeking a senior -level construction project manager to join our team in Richmond. We are a fully integrated construction management and development firm dedicated to managing complex projects and delivering them to the highest standards. The senior project manager will be responsible for driving projects of significant size and complexity to completion on time and within budget, while providing an exceptional experience for the owners of the projects. A B.S in construction management, engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Ideally, candidates will have 10+ years of industry experience, with a significant portion served with a general contractor.

Top Skills & Qualifications

• Full project ownership including coordinating all activities with superintendents and project teams

• Own all project finances

• Organize, understand and maintain up to date contract documents

• Prepare project construction schedule in conjunction with general superintendent

• Coordinate the intent and implementation of the final project budget

• Review and approve all subcontracts

• Approve master submittal schedule and submittal log

• Schedule and conduct regular owner and subcontractor preconstruction meetings

• Strong understanding of different delivery systems

• Application of LEED certifications is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

• Experience with scheduling software, textura, procore and bluebeam preferred

• Possess an innate ability to lead a team and empower others to drive results

• Consistently deliver beyond expectations to provide exceptional results

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site job with visits as needed. The senior project manager will have the opportunity to manage a team on ground-up and complete builds. Our main projects in the Hampton Roads area are hospitality, higher ed, mix-use projects, and car dealerships. We have an extensive pipeline of projects.
