Ameresco Site Manager in Richmond Hill, Ontario

Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to be based in the Town of Greater Napanee, Ontario area, on the shores of Lake Ontario, to oversee daily project operations to support a multi-year project.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in construction team meetings and provide regular on-site project presence when required by project activities.

  • Read and understand specifications, reference codes and standards.

  • Review and interpret contract drawings.

  • Review provisions that have been made to provide required control inspection and testing.

  • Prepare quality control plan for each project assigned.

  • Assist and participate in reviews with Site Health and Safety team, Commissioning Lead, Engineering and Project Management teams.

  • Act as temporary Site Supervisor during Site Supervisor absence.

  • Collaborate with project management team to develop a Quality Control Action Plan and serve as the primary contact for project site QA / QC deviation notification, investigation, and case management.

  • Conduct meetings, audits, and inspections in a professional and organized and well-informed manner to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.

  • Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive QA / QC / Health & Safety programs at project site locations.

  • Provide project management team with guidance on quality control and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, provincial, and federal guidelines, and regulations.

  • Maintain a log of project QA / QC inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.

  • Ensure continued compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 programs

  • Work with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other parties as affected to ensure equipment, materials and installations meet with project specifications and design requirements.

  • Check to assure all materials and or equipment have been submitted and approved

  • Be on top of all daily work activities, ensure all testing is done accordingly and documented correctly.

  • Consistent with all required inspections, have a proactive rather than reactive approach to all aspects of quality control.

  • Perform other duties as required.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Engineer, Master Electrician, or related discipline OR a minimum of 10 years related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum 5 years large scale commercial/ government/ industrial/ or Utilities construction project experience.

    Additional Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Electrical Regulations and best practices.

  • Ability to read and understand Engineered Drawings and Specifications

  • Excellent understanding of Ontario H&S Regulations including 213/91.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and foster positive and effective interpersonal, functional, organizational relationships with all parties.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of construction technology and project controls

  • Knowledge and understanding of industry regulations including CSA Z460, CSA Z462, NFPA 70E and NFPA 855 are an asset.

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification or willingness to obtain.

  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and related Construction Safety Courses are an asset.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of Tools including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

  • Valid Driver License and in good standing.

  • Ability to travel and provide on-call response required.

  • Required to pass security clearance investigation.
