Aerotek Is hiring a Marine Electrician in Richmond

Must haves:

• Red Seal Marine Electrician

• Marine Experience 5 years

• commercial vessels

• English comprehensive, verbal and written

Description:

shore power - often, 3 phase

magger or insulation tests - transport Canada vessel 3-4 times/month

internal upgrades to panels (new panel boards) 400amp 120 208 3 phase - new board

all vessels - fishing tugs barges, self-propelled barges

landing crafts

Troubleshooting

Rewiring engines

Hooking up new panels from scratch - putting in a whole new system for the engines to the wheel house.

re and re gen sets for engines

transducers

connecting and installing

Work Environment:

Outside in all weather conditions working in and out of vessels on the land.

Reporting to the supervisor

24/7 availability may be required

• Travel to off-site locations may be required

• Safety equipment will be required in the yard and will be provided, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

• Overtime as required

• Hazards associated with the trade

• Work both indoors and outdoors

Shift:

• 7:30am - 4pm

• OT may be required.

• Travel to off-site locations may be required.
