Amentum Weekend Logistics/Subcontracts Supervisor in Richland, Washington

The Weekend Logistics/Subcontracts Supervisor (Thursday – Sunday) is responsible for the chemical deliveries and associated vendor activities in support of operations and is responsible for performing activities within the assigned scope and within approved schedules and budgets. The position ensures work executed is in accordance with applicable project procedures, policies and all applicable laws, regulations, Contract, Authorization Basis, and technical requirements.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Represent the subcontracts/logistics team by attending daily meetings, reporting status, and escalating challenges through line management.

  • Monitor subcontractors daily progress, preparing daily reports and assisting the subcontract administrator to changes to the subcontract scope of work.

  • Obtain/provide turnover of subcontractor/logistics scope to/from team members to progress work.

  • Monitor vendors/subcontractor’s quality of work.

  • Review, approve, and witness the performance of routine system testing.

  • Provide oversight over the installation and final configuration of subcontract scope to the approved design.

  • Maintain assigned tracking reports, metrics and records.

  • Maintain current training, certification, and development requirements.

  • Interface with project team members and organizations including engineering, operations, maintenance, production control, and others as needed.

  • Support the implementation of contracts for process consumables/material ordering to support overall operations of WTP systems.

  • Support implementation of project-wide initiatives affecting facility management personnel and resources.

  • Organize and perform pre-delivery walkdowns for bulk chemical or consumable deliveries.

  • Ensure the standards set by the conduct of operations procedures are upheld in the planning and performance of all facility activities.

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work to protect self, others, and the environment.

  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

  • Perform activities and meet the goals and objectives established by the facility management organization.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of system design and operation, including environmental, safety, and health aspects and regulatory conformance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May supervise assigned personnel. Responsibilities include assigning complex work, setting work priorities, evaluating individual performance and providing training to them.

  • Maintain awareness of the facility status and ensuring assigned personnel are supporting daily operation and that related subcontracts are prioritized to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Ensure all users of the logistics and subcontract processes are following defined processes and mentor if required.

  • Technical oversight of assigned contractor’s safety, quality, schedule, and coordinated execution of the subcontractor’s scope of work.

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

Diploma or equivalent and 14 years of related experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 12 years of related experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience.

Experience:

Must possess experience in of logistics management or subcontracts management or operations management or maintenance management. Must have working knowledge of subcontracting processes and tools related to subcontract work. Excellent technical writing/editing and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills required to prioritize workloads and effectively communicate status up through management.

  • 3 years of prior supervisory experience

Preferred Experience :

  • Experience in Logistics/Vendor Relations.

  • Experience in oversight of subcontractor work.

  • Experience solving problems and finding solutions.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Experience in the development of subcontract documentation, such as a statement of work, quality determination, sole source justification and other related documents to subcontract formation.

  • Knowledge of procurement and logistical processes in support of operations and inventory management programs (CMMS or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, and knowledge of industry codes and standards.

  • Working knowledge of Conduct of Operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, Thursday - Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site .

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $128,402.60 - $206,078.53 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
