Amentum Production Specialist - Subcontracts Coordinator Intern in Richland, Washington
The Production Specialist job family is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance activities associated with plant production. Plant production scope includes work week management, planning, and logistics/subcontract support. The production specialist intern is responsible for performing production control activities within the assigned scope and within approved schedules and budgets. The position ensures work executed is in accordance with applicable project procedures, policies and all applicable laws, regulations, Contract, Authorization Basis, and technical requirements.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS
Support monitoring the subcontractor’s daily progress, preparing daily subcontract reports, reviewing subcontractor-initiated reports and correspondence for claim related issues, and changes to the subcontract scope of work.
Support with monitoring and inspecting the subcontractor’s quality of work.
Support with reviewing and witnessing the performance of routine system testing.
Support with validating subcontractor’s monthly progress payments and invoices, monitoring subcontractor Force Account and TM Reports, and coordinating subcontractors’ activities with work performed by others.
Support with reviews of prior completed subcontracts for permanent plant installations.
Support with reviewing submittals for completed subcontract work to ensure requirements were met.
Support with maintaining assigned tracking reports, metrics, and records.
Support with supporting department procedure change control.
Support with supporting EVMS principles when it comes to budget, schedule, and work planning.
Support with the development of subcontract documentation such as a statement or work, quality determination, sole source justifications, and other related documents to subcontract formations.
Maintain current training, and development requirements.
Support with WTCC project specific environmental and safety compliance requirements.
Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work to protect self, others, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
- Junior or Senior year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Management, Project Management, or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21.75 - $30.56 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site .
