Amentum Production Specialist - Logistics Intern in Richland, Washington

The Production Specialist job family is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance activities associated with plant production. Plant production scope includes work week management, planning, and logistics/subcontract support. The Logistics intern is responsible for performing production control activities within the assigned scope and within approved schedules and budgets. The summer intern position will assist in the coordination of vendor deliveries and associated activities in support of operations and project schedules.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS

  • Support organizing and performing pre-delivery walkdowns for bulk chemical or consumable deliveries

  • Support scheduling bulk chemical or consumable deliveries

  • Support monitoring the vendor’s daily progress and preparing daily vendor reports

  • Support ensuring vendor paperwork is submitted

  • Support maintaining assigned tracking reports, metrics and records

  • Support monitoring and inspecting the vendor’s quality of work.

  • Support Logistics documentation activities for effective records management

  • Support WTCC project specific environmental and safety compliance requirements.

  • Maintain current training and development requirements

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work to protect self, others, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Junior or Senior year pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Management, Project Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21.75 - $30.56 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site .
