Amentum Commissioning Testing Specialist in Richland, Washington

The Commissioning Testing Specialist is a mid-level position in a commissioning organization assigned to track and monitor tests packages. This role supports the Test Engineer with test package document quality control. Under minimal supervision, the Commissioning Testing Specialist performs organizational support which is expected to utilize independent decision-making regarding resolution of problems. This position may coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Required to provide oversight of field-testing package performance within the conduct of test programs. This position will require compilation of log entries and documentation for in process or completed tests.

  • Complete required training and maintain qualifications associated with assignments or future assignments.

  • Ensures timely and accurate oral and written technical reports on assigned activities alone, or under the direction of Commissioning management.

  • Coordinates Commissioning test package development, changes, and closures with Maintenance Planning.

  • Identifies document quality issues related to test packages and coordinates with Commissioning shift teams to resolve.

  • Performs test package close out reviews ensuring quality documentation and consistency prior to document control archiving.

  • Performs tracking and status for all Commissioning. PAIL items, closing all risk items, and supporting Condition Report (CR) actions and closure

  • Reflects nuclear safety and quality priorities in the performance of work.

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work to protect self, others, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education: Associate degree in engineering/science or equivalent education or specific training in area of expertise.

Experience: 4 years of experience in start-up, commissioning, facility testing, facility operations, maintenance, construction, or other technical profession. Preferred experience in start-up of DOE nuclear facilities. Experience with high hazardous facilities desired. Experience implementing test requirements under ASME NQA-1 highly valued.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site .

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $99,193.03 - $154,255.09 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
