Pay Rate: $20 - $26 per hour / based on shift

Work Hours : Your choice of shift:

  • 1st shift (Mon-Thurs 5 am to 5:30 pm)

  • Weekend Days (5 am-5:30 pm) or Weekend Nights (5 pm-5:30 am)

  • One week is 4 - 12hrs (48hrs) and the next week is 3-12hrs (36hrs)

What’s a typical day as an SMT Operator? You’ll be:

• Setting up and operating a variety of automatic machines including screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) machines used to produce high-quality electronic products.

• Changing out and replenishing feeders on SMT machines to maximize productive run time.

• Escalating issues to the Lead or Supervisor as appropriate.

• Performing quality inspections throughout and at the end of the process line, ensuring completed work meets all quality standards.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have at least 3-5 years of work experience on the SMT floor, running SMT machines.

• Have experience in operating Juki pick and place machines or MY300, DDM Novastar, Fuji, and Panasonic would be preferred.

• Have experience in setting up solder paste printers and reflow ovens.

• Can set up machines, including machine adjustments and performing set-up (feeder loading and changing) per manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Can troubleshoot issues on the machine.

• Can handle moisture-sensitive components.

• Have a good knowledge of component inspection (polarity, component damage).

• Have experience in inspecting boards after reflow by following IPC-610 requirements.

• Have machine maintenance experience (a plus).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required if hired by the customer.

• Experience with SMT machines.

• Previous experience in an SMT manufacturing facility.

• Experience with Juki SMT machines.
