Pelvic Health (PH) therapies treat patients suffering from overactive bladder, non-obstructive urinary retention, and fecal incontinence with our sacral neuromodulation (SNM) systems InterStim X™ and InterStim™ Micro; and our percutaneous tibial neuromodulation (PTNM) system NURO™. PH is part of the Neuroscience portfolio.

A Day in the Life

The Sr. Process Engineer is the recognized technical leader of manufacturing technology and processes on new product introduction (NPI) and maintenance projects. The Sr. Process Engineer will design and deliver processes and equipment. In this role, you may provide leadership to an extended project team comprised of individuals from manufacturing engineering, specialists, engineers, and other functions to drive successful development and commercialization of new products.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Be the manufacturing engineering lead on our Pain Interventional projects supporting contract manufacturer process development and maintenance.

  • Support advanced development equipment projects specifically on RSW or laser welding.

  • Seasoned individual contributor.

  • Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions.

  • May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area.

  • Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments.

  • Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties.

  • Makes improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the job area.

  • Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.

  • Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors.

  • Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making.

  • May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.

  • May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product.

Must Have (Minimum Requirements)

To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume .

  • Baccalaureate degree in engineering with minimum of 4 years of project management experience,

  • Or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years project management experience.

  • Design and development experience with RSW technologies, RSW process development, RSW equipment design, and RSW process validation and/or design and development experience with laser welding technologies, laser process development, laser equipment design, laser process validation.

Nice to Have ( Preferred Qualifications )

  • Mechanical aptitude and/or experience with tooling and fixturing, including design or rapid prototyping.

  • Background in Metallurgy.

  • Experience in new manufacturing process and equipment development, characterization, and qualifications.

  • Experience working in medical device or other regulated industry.

  • Experience or extensive knowledge of at least 2 related disciplines (with knowledge of all) such as:

  • Product development

  • Manufacturing Engineering

  • Supply chain planning/capacity planning for launch.

  • Technical expertise in qualifications (i.e., validation including IQ/OQ/PQ, CPAP, or related)

  • Design for Manufacturability (DMR/DFSS or similar methodology)

  • Program or project management experience leading a complex new product or new process development.
