Vice President, Strategy & Operations/Chief of Staff

SAIC is seeking a Vice President of Strategy and Operations/Chief of Staff to lead strategy and operations for our Civilian Business Group (CBG). The successful candidate will be a collaborative partner to the CBG Executive Vice President (EVP) and the leadership team. You will lead organizational transformation and execution excellence to enable SAIC’s Enterprise Growth Strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning & execution: Establish and implement strategic plans to ensure the business group meets its objectives. Drive planning, priorities and initiatives including monthly operations reviews, program reviews, and success metrics to drive key business outcomes.

  • Execution excellence: Ensure programs are successfully executing all program requirements – from proposal through contract completion. Lead independent assessments, drive innovation and on-contract growth, and engage to resolve program issues.

  • Organizational effectiveness: Assess issues and barriers that are preventing leadership and the organization from operating at maximum effectiveness. Drive innovation in process and execution across our portfolio.

  • Priority management: Drive prioritization and operational efficiencies to enable the EVP to focus on growing the business. Track and drive delivery of priorities.

  • Project management: Lead critical and cross-functional projects and initiatives. Build teams to help drive decisions and transformation across the business group.

  • · Communication & collaboration: Facilitate communication and partnership between internal functions and the business, promoting collaboration. Stay well connected across the organization to influence outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or relevant field

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in government contracting

  • Experience in the following discipline(s): Program Management on Firm Fixed Price contracts, Management of capture and proposal development, Establishing and Implementing Policies, Processes and Procedures, Negotiating/resolving highly complex issues directly with Clients and Partners

  • ·Deep understanding Federal civilian agencies mission and experience delivering a broad range of services, solutions, and technology to clients

  • Deep understanding of business operations including budget planning and long-range strategic planning

  • Ability to engage at all levels of the organization - quickly developing trust, communicating, and driving actions

  • A proven track record of delivering high-value results for Clients with limited direction

  • High-energy, strategic problem solver with excellent judgment and a passion for learning

  • Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams
