Job Description

IG is seeking to hire a Python Developer to work on a dynamic team in the creation and launching of vital applications for a large federal agency. The Python developer will usually develop back-end components, connect the application with the other third-party web services, and support the front-end developers by integrating their work with the Python application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. The developer will be able to demonstrate not only his/her understanding and excellence in developing web based systems, but also their ability to work on a team, agile or otherwise. The developer will need to be proficient in understanding requirements, knowledgeable about testing, and able to communicate with members of the team and other organizations within IT and the business customer. The developer will work remotely.

Skills and Requirements

* Solid knowledge of the Python programming language and work experience as a Python Developer and write effective, scalable, reusable, testable, efficient code

* Test and debug programs

* Assess and prioritize feature requests

* Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions

* Improve functionality of existing systems

* Implement security and data protection solutions

* Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance

* Integrate user-facing elements into applications

* Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)

* Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)

* Strong unit test and debugging skills

* Implementation of security and data protection

* Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

* Integration of data storage solutions

* One should have good analyzing skills in terms of Python it includes. Good understanding of algorithms so that you write clean and not redundant code, able to write optimized algorithms

* Ability to work on teams effectively and communicate verbally and in writing.

* Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or comparable field. Experience can be used in lieu of education.

* Must be able to acquire a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) * Experience as a .NET developer

* Experience as a C/C++ developer

* Knowledge and experience with cloud-based application development null
