Job Description:

The Accenture Federal Services (AFS) Defense and Intelligence Portfolio is looking for FinOps experts with strong technical backgrounds, business analysis skills, and customer engagement skills who are passionate about delivering capability to customers. If accepted, you will be part of an elite team of enthusiasts designing, building, and supporting the next generation of FinOps applications and services supporting several of the largest U.S. Government cloud networks. In this role, you will be leveraging your experience and understanding of the major cloud service providers, AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and/or Google Cloud Platform in support of federal customers. You will design and implement FinOps best practices, and support our development teams that are transforming FinOps in the Federal space today. Our ideal candidate is comfortable in technical and business requirements meetings and is self-motivated to pursue continuous improvement. A successful candidate will also enjoy solving interesting problems, and work with other members of our business operations and engineering teams supporting high profile, complex deliverables. You will support capability deliveries meeting the ever-growing demand of Government customers for better Cloud FinOps.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with identification of requirements, development of, and implementation details for FinOps solutions in the federal government space

  • Work alongside with our FinOps professionals, product, testing, and development teams

  • Gather, analyze, and assess cloud budgets and spend for customers

  • Work with customers to develop cost avoidance strategies

  • Support software deployment teams and FinOps training efforts

  • Work with customers to develop and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and tracking metrics

  • Analyze multi-cloud procurement and buying patterns and make recommendations for improvements

  • Identify and report on trends and anomalies in a multi-cloud environment

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key FinOps enterprise stakeholders

  • Identify optimization opportunities in a multi-cloud and multi-domain environments

Here's what you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or similar field and 15 years of professional IT experience

  • Formal training or certification in one or more areas of FinOps

  • Financial management skills

  • Experience with delivering system design and application development

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including relationship building skills

  • Experience communicating complex financial, technical, and business process information at all levels of organizations, from executives to project managers and technical engineers

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Bonus points if you have:

  • Associate or Professional Level Cloud Certifications

  • Experience with security in the cloud including system accreditation efforts and vulnerability scanning.

Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret US Government security clearance is required

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$144,500—$296,100 USD
