THE PLANNER, under general supervision, conducts multimodal transportation system analysis and develops planning and forecasting studies as directed; conducts spatial analysis and mapping using geographic information systems (GIS) software, uses specialized travel demand modeling; and participates in agency and community outreach activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, geography, civil engineering, or a related field. And three to five (3-5) years of transportation planning experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. Senior Technical Planner Salary Range: $80,787.20 to $119,308.80, depending on qualifications. THE SENIOR TECHNICAL PLANNER, under limited supervision, develops and conducts multimodal transportation system analysis; performs complex professional work on advanced transportation planning projects; conducts and coordinates professional planning studies to achieve RTC transportation priorities and regulatory compliance objectives; prepares federal grant applications; conducts safety data management and analysis; uses specialized travel demand modeling and GIS software; and provides leadership in community outreach activities. Responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Regional Transportation Plan. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, geography, civil engineering, or related field and five to seven (5-7) years of planning experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
