The Director of Sales for the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa is responsible for driving the resort's sales strategy, revenue growth, and market expansion in the meetings & conventions market segments. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive sales plans, managing a high-performing sales team, and establishing strong relationships with key clients and partners. The Director of Sales will collaborate closely with the executive team to align sales objectives with the resort’s overall business goals, ensure exceptional customer service, and optimize profitability.

Responsibilities

 Sales Strategy Development: Design and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth, quarterly and annually.

 Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to reach and exceed sales goals while fostering a culture of high performance.

 Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and competitive dynamics.

 Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel partners to enhance loyalty and drive repeat business.

 Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure cohesive and effective sales initiatives.

 Performance Monitoring: Establish sales KPIs, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions to address any shortfalls.

 Budget Management: Oversee the sales department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximization of ROI.

 Policies & Procedures: Develop and maintain procedures for the Sales Department, including, but not limited to, departmental policies, budgets, bookings, reports, sales plans, production updates, staffing levels, travel schedules, promotional materials and advertising plans.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field

 5-10 years of experience in Hotel/Casino sales and marketing

 Strong management experience

 Proven experience in sales leadership roles within the hospitality industry.

 Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

 Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable plans.

 Proficiency in CRM software (Delphi/Salesforce) and sales performance metrics.

 Positive, upbeat and energetic personality

 General knowledge of hotel occupancy and yield management in hotels exceeding 400-500 rooms/suites.

 General knowledge of casino operations and player tracking

 Availability to travel approximately 10 - 20% of total time

 Excellent public relations and customer service skills
