SAIC Senior Zero Trust Engineer in REMOTE WORK, Alabama

Description

The Senior Zero Trust Engineer will assist the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in developing Zero Trust policies and designs to align with DoD and Army policies. The Zero Trust Engineer will develop and implement cutting-edge Zero Trust security frameworks , and be responsible for crafting robust security policies and designing resilient architectures that protect sensitive systems and data against evolving cyber threats.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and deploy the Zero Trust network architecture in accordance with industry best practices, Army and USACE policies.

  • Draft, revise, and maintain security policies that reflect the principles of Zero Trust and comply with federal and military cybersecurity regulations.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of current network infrastructure and recommend enhancements that align with Zero Trust principles.

  • Implement security controls and policies to regulate access to sensitive data and systems, ensuring least-privilege access is maintained.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Zero Trust, advising on best practices, emerging threats, and strategic security developments.

  • Work collaboratively with IT, network, and security teams to create a seamless and secure user experience across all company platforms.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on Zero Trust security architecture, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of Zero Trust security tools and technologies.

  • Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and Zero Trust best practices, and integrate this knowledge into the organization's security strategy.

  • Train and guide IT staff and other stakeholders on Zero Trust concepts, strategies, and best practices.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field with 14 years of experience; four (4) years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Strong experience in creating, performing, and documenting technology evaluations.

  • Experience with integrating industry best practices for security into the engineering of complex systems.

  • IAT III certification in cybersecurity (CASP+ CE or CISSP)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various departments.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
