Lead DevSecOps Engineer

Job Duties:

  • Plan, organize, and support agile project teams to deliver projects to completion

  • Work closely with other stakeholders, engineers, developers, and vendors to enhance infrastructure, improve reliability, efficiency, and to mitigate issues for resolution

  • Lead infrastructure architecture definition and alignment across Engineering/Development teams

  • Provide hands-on technical expertise and support in DevSecOps tasks. Responsible for defining and implementing the build, deployment, and monitoring solutions for the customer

  • Work directly with Agile software development teams to deliver solutions to automate application deployments, provide application monitoring, and to manage infrastructure in an Azure Gov Cloud environment

  • Maintain and operate the tools and capabilities that enable software development teams to release quality software quickly and efficiently using an Agile CI/CD delivery methodology

  • Provide reusable scripts and/or templates to automate specific DevSecOps pipeline tasks and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning

  • Develop custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

  • Evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, documents, and implement them with the help of developers

  • Design and implement infrastructure as code and configuration as code to build the client platform

Basic Qualifications:

  • Eager to lead cross-functional team collaborations and take ownership of assignments to gather functional requirements and drive application modernization efforts related to DevSecOps

  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principals and best practices

  • 7+ years experience with DevSecOps tools and related cloud services

  • Experience with Cloud Native orchestration technologies and services

  • 3+ years of experience with software provisioning and configuration tools

  • Experience using cloud-based tools for application security scanning and testing

  • Experience conforming to data privacy regulations

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

  • Hands on experience working with code and Git source control

  • IaC and CaC experience preferred

  • Azure Cloud certifications preferred

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must have an active security clearance

  • Must have COMPTIA Sec+ IAW DOD 8570

  • Minimum Experience - 7 years of relevant work experience

  • On site work is minimal for planning meetings
