Job Summary

The Category Business Manager position on the Supplies, Equipment & Services (SES) team is an exciting opportunity to accelerate your career in Foodbuy. In this role you will work alongside Account Managers, Onboarding Managers, Supplier Base, and the category procurement team aligning customer needs with commercial opportunities to maximize the value of Foodbuy programs for its members.

There are plenty of new opportunities that we want you to be able to quickly uncover within a supportive, growth focused environment. You will work closely with other team members to further develop your category and customer expertise and broaden your knowledge of the business.

Success in this role will evolve from strong project management, an in-depth product knowledge of facility management, MRO, equipment and services, hands-on commercial analysis, thoughtful relationship building with internal and external partners, and the ability to present your ideas to inspire action.

What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent product support to both Account Managers and Foodbuy Members to drive volume to our preferred supplier programs.

• Working with account managers, gain customer commitment to convert product purchases to Foodbuy’s supplier programs to achieve cost savings and margin improvements.

• Support integration of new Members onboarding, working with the appropriate SME stakeholders to drive opportunities

• Manage supplier base to provide best value and support for our Members, holding both ourselves and our Supplier base accountable for most competitive programs possible and a great service experience. Proactively explore ways to enhance "Ease of Doing Business" with Foodbuy.

• Drive supplier performance in your areas and use agreed metrics and tools to do this along with periodic supplier review meetings where performance is measured with agreed follow up and action plans

• Manage supplier relationships to drive supplier performance, contract effectiveness, collaboration and integration and deliver improved result

• Collaborate and assist the CBM team’s efforts in resolving critical quality and delivery issues with suppliers. Act as Escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues

• Identify cost reduction opportunities for Foodbuy Members while increasing preferred supplier sales and Foodbuy revenue.

• Research, analyze and synthesize industry, market, spend, risk and commodity data to make recommendations on approach and strategy, with the objective of providing deep and meaningful insight to Sourcing Management teams

• Develop a category and portfolio strategy in collaboration with your manager and suppliers that delivers strong financial results and value to our Members and Suppliers.

• Establish price benchmarks to ensure our programs are competitive for Members in all business segments.

• Work cross-functionally to manage the implementation of new contracts or program changes.

• Act as lead Foodbuy resource for Member requests related to your assigned categories.

• Work with Members to establish priorities and manage demand

• Best Practice Sharing - generate work of a world class quality that is shared and transferred to colleagues across all avenues

What You'll Need:

? 4+ years' experience in facility maintenance, engineering either in Supply chain, operations, or a category management role.

? A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; significant related sourcing, category or account management experience may be considered in lieu of education

? Proven track record of ability to influence in a cross functional organization including conflict resolution.

? A great attitude - flexibility, optimism, resourcefulness, and transparency.

? A proven record of accomplishment of delivering results while being self-motivated in a dynamic environment.

? Highly analytical and logical, attention to detail and exceptional work quality.

? Excellent supplier relationships specifically across MRO, HVAC, BMS, MEP, elevators, escalators and moving walkways as well as maintenance of equipment and systems.

? Excellent customer /client relationship building skills, both internally and externally

? Strong negotiation experience achieving win-win solutions and mutual goals.

? Strong influencing skills to persuade people’s attitudes, behaviors, and decisions to desired results.

? High proficiency level with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.

? Strong presentation and selling skills to manage implementation of key programs and presentations.

? Capacity to handle multiple changing agendas and priorities yet stay in control of events and deadlines.
