The Data Analytics Team at Flipside Crypto is looking for a Data Analyst to help us build out our suite of analytics products.
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with a passion for blockchain technology and a knack for translating complex data into meaningful insights. This role requires experience analyzing blockchain protocols, particularly within the EVM, IBC, Solana, or other alternative layer 1 blockchain ecosystems. Familiarity with Flipside or a similar blockchain analytics platform is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills and a collaborative mindset, capable of interfacing effectively with clients and internal team members.
Location: Remote

As a Data Analyst at Flipside Crypto, you will:
Analyze and interpret complex onchain data from various blockchains and protocols
Write SQL or other querying code to extract and manipulate data from database systems to create reports and data visualizations using proprietary Flipside applications
Create compelling data visualizations that convey clear insights to users
Ensure accuracy of data builds through testing and validation of underlying logic via external sources
Act as a point of contact for data-related questions, interfacing with clients both in our Discord community and among our enterprise clients
Collaborate closely with internal data team members to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues efficiently
Conduct thorough research on blockchain protocols, reading and interpreting protocol documentation
Translate protocol documentation into efficient SQL queries for internal and client use
Become an expert on customer blockchain projects and serve as the main point of contact for data questions
Stay updated on the latest blockchain technologies and protocol developments
You are a fit if:
You possess a strong analytical background that includes 2+ years of experience working with complex blockchain data sets
You are have experience working with and are a subject matter expert with blockchain data
You are passionate about blockchains and have a public wallet with 18+ months of activity across multiple blockchain ecosystems, including but not limited to EVM, IBC, Solana, NEAR, Flow or other alternative layer 1 ecosystems.
You are self directed and capable of driving projects forward to meet deadlines
You thrive with ambiguity and are able to switch contexts or priorities based on the team's needs
You have great communication skills (verbal and written) and are able to present your ideas to a wide audience of varying technical skills
You have a strong background in writing complex and efficient SQL (Snowflake, Athena, Hive, Postgres, SQL Server)
Are familiar with ETL pipelining tools like DBT
You have an analytical mindset with a great statistics or financial background
