sa.global Sales Development Representative in Remote, United Kingdom

Purpose Statement

sa.global is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to accelerate our growth by identifying new sales opportunities with mid-market and enterprise clients in their digital transformation. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up Business Development Managers (BDMs) to successfully close deals. The SDR should be a quick learner who has strong and effective communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential customer has an opportunity to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability. We are looking for a passionate and driven person who is excited to grow our business whilst being part of a great, high-achieving team.

Position Overview

The SDR reports directly to the Sales Director with no direct line management responsibilities for this role.

This person is required to be based in the UK. Normal working hours apply to this role (9am-5:30pm UK time) however, there may be times where you need to work outside of our usual working hours.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Represent the company's products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs to fuel their digital transformation

  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities

  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps

  • Identify best practices for refining the company's lead-generation strategies

  • Utilize Microsoft CRM, 6Sense, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, cold calls, and email to generate new sales opportunities

  • Identify the business needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services to match

  • Prospect call preparation including company background research and other pertinent lead information

  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and BDMs

  • Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to Sales Manager

  • Identify customer's buying trends and provide reports to management

  • Enter, update, and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects, and opportunities

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a Sales Development Representative role (or similar), ideally within the Microsoft Partner channel.

  • Industry knowledge is advantageous, especially in service based industries

  • Demonstrated experience in familiarisation with vertical solutions and how that impact the industries they serve

  • Experience making dozens of calls per day, working with partners, scheduling meetings, generating leads, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales

  • Experience and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 products

  • Solid understanding of the concepts around wider Microsoft technologies

  • Commercially minded, with the ability to understand business drivers and risks involved in how organisations work, and translating those to upselling opportunities

  • A strong desire to learn, take on feedback, and develop

  • Proven track-record of identifying sales opportunities and converting leads

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and proactively seeks opportunities to improve accounts

  • Demonstrates commitment to the role, team, and company, and goes the extra mile when needed

  • Excellent professional qualities including resilience, strong written and oral communication skills, well-organised, results-driven attitude, and self-starter

  • Demonstrates self-awareness and practical self-development in pursuit of continuous improvement

  • Possess a high work ethic in accordance with role demands, expectation, and responsibility

  • Excellent team player collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and beyond

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Travel

Occasional travel to customer sites and office in Cardiff
