Job Description
Summit Medical Consultants is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Clinical Leadership and Professional Development who will be responsible for leading and enhancing clinical practice standards, fostering professional growth among Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) or Non-Physician Providers (NPPs), and driving quality improvement initiatives. This role combines advanced clinical expertise with leadership skills to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that support the ongoing education and professional development of APPs and NPPs. This is a position where driving is an essential function and will involve a mix of clinical and administrative role.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Clinical Leadership
Lead and participate in the development and implementation of evidence based protocols
Collaborate with APPs/NPPs and facilities to improve patient care outcomes
Provide advanced clinical guidance and support to APPs/NPPs.
Professional Development
Design and implement educational material for APPs/NPPs.
Provide mentorship and coaching to APP/NPP pod leaders
Quality Improvement
Lead quality improvement projects to enhance patient care.
Utilize data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and track the effectiveness of interventions
Program Development and Evaluation
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational and developmental programs
Adjust programs based on feedback and changing healthcare needs
Requirements:
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) or Master of Clinical Health Services (MCHS) degree from an accredited institution
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Physician Assistant (PA) license
Active Colorado PA/NP Licence, DEA, and Driver's license
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider or Non-Physician Provider, with at least 1 year experience in the post acute care setting
Strong understanding of clinical practices, quality improvement methodologies, and educational program development
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with administration and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Experience:
Certification in Nursing Professional Development
Previous experience in a clinical educator or similar role
Work Environment:
Long term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities
Full-time position with mix of clinical and administration time
Travel requirements within the state of Colorado. No overnights required.
