BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer 3 Job for an opportunity at Redmond, WA 100% onsite! Position Title: Technical Writer 3 Location: Redmond, WA 100% onsite Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: Contract of 16 Months Job Type: Contract and Onsite Pay Range: $45 - $48/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description: The Tech Share team - a division of clients Game Studios and creator of the critically acclaimed Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, and Fable - is looking for a Technical Writer to drive project documentation, knowledge sharing, and organization across studios on collaborative documentation spaces. Responsibilities: Typical Day * Help lead tech writing team goals, planning, and projects * Help teams write/edit needed project documentation in a clear, concise, easily understandable manner * Create documentation and knowledge sharing processes to maintain organization * Organize documentation in an intuitive manner * Align teams on and be advocate for knowledge sharing across studios * Help research and push forward sharing initiatives or solutions to current pain points Required Qualifications: Hard Skills * 5+ years of experience in tech or tech-adjacent field * Ability to self-drive and be a leader in the tech writing space * Strong collaboration and communication skills * Proven ability to understand and write technical documentation; writing sample required * Experience with Confluence, Atlassian products, and ADO * Bachelors in software engineering, Gaming, or Writing, or equivalent industry experience Preferred Qualifications: Best vs. average * Confluence wizard * Prior experience as a tech writer or engineer * Prior experience managing and organizing large amounts of documentation * Ability to work on-site Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
