CompuCom Service Engineer 3 in Redmond, Washington

Our client is currently seeking a Service Engineer to join their team onsite in Redmond, WA. The main function of a Service Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized infrastructure including major enhancement of existing systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated compute, storage, and network implementation projects

  • Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop solutions to meet client needs

  • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications

  • Respond to customer request tickets and bring issues to resolution

  • Implement system software, automation, policies, and cloud services and customize to client requirements

  • Prepare detailed specifications and test plans for existing and new cloud services

  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs

  • Create migration and redundancy plans for enterprise systems and implement on-prem and in the cloud

  • Perform post-implementation validation and resolve any bugs found during implantation and sustainment

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field

  • 5-7 years of overall experience required

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure or AWS

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Intune

  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting against Windows and Azure APIs

  • A solid foundation in complex, large-scale, enterprise hybrid services and systems

  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting of both new and legacy production systems

  • Experience in programming, scripting, and problem diagnosis and resolution

  • Demonstrated communication and cross-group collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage several schedule-critical tasks while delivering results and solutions on time

$67.00 - $74.00 per hour

Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
