Microsoft Corporation Product Manager III in Redmond, Washington

Are you passionate about developers and cloud technology? Are you interested in being a team of product managers who work to give developers the tools they need to be successful running apps in the cloud?  We are looking to hire a Product Manager III to join our team.

The Azure Developer Experiences team builds application services including Azure Functions, Web Apps, and Logic Apps.  We want to make building and hosting apps on the cloud a delightful experience – from getting started to diagnostics and monitoring. 

The Azure Developer Experience team is looking for a customer-centric product manager to lead the team around monitoring, diagnosing, and supporting cloud apps in Azure.  Your team will be focused on building solutions powered by AI that are integrated across the end-to-end developer experience to surface insights, recommendations, and diagnostics.  You will play a pivotal role in driving key initiatives that are focused on how customers can better prevent, understand, diagnose, and solve issues with Azure application services.

Responsibilities

In this role you will: 

  • Connect with developers using Azure Application services and understand their needs around managing apps in the cloud. 

  • Collaborate with product and customer experience teams to drive improvements around diagnosing and solving application issues. 

  • Design and deliver features leveraging generative AI for users to quickly diagnose and solve problems across a variety of tools and experiences. 

  • Deliver and present monthly updates to Azure leadership around progress to deflect and diagnose customer app issues. 

You will also have the opportunity to create compelling content, present regularly to company executives, work as part of the application innovation teams in Azure and engage with cloud projects from some of the biggest names in the industry.  In each of these facets of the role, you’ll need to be customer and data driven in how we are creating delightful developer experiences.

Qualifications

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience building apps or services

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ year(s) experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience with diagnostic or monitoring tools 

  • Experience building cloud-based applications, as well as the demands of a cloud provider to successfully host and serve those applications and services. 

  • Experience with data analysis and data-driven planning 

  • Ambitious, creative and motivated, results orientated. 

  • A problem solver, able to work from ambiguous goals to distilled plans. 

  • Group collaboration and communication skills 

  • UI/UX skills a bonus 

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
