Actalent Manufacturing Test Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Looking for an Electrical/Manufacturing Test Engineer to join a growing team for a large satellite program in Redmond, WA! Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to support PCBA test/debug at our facility in Redmond. The role involves programming and executing functional testing of PCBAs, diagnosing nonconformance's during testing, and documenting defects for communication back to the PCBA manufacturing team and CM. You will coordinate PCBA rework to repair defects, deploy functional testing, and debug at the CM. The role also includes training staff at CM on programming, testing, and electrical debug of PCBAs. Expect to spend up to 50% of your time traveling to support electrical debug of PCBAs at the CM.

Responsibilities

  • Support PCBA test/debug at CM.

  • Program and execute functional testing of PCBAs.

  • Diagnose nonconformance's identified during testing of PCBAs.

  • Document nonconformance's/defects for communication back to PCBA manufacturing team and CM.

  • Coordinate PCBA rework to repair defects.

  • Deploy functional testing and PCBA debug at the CM.

  • Spend up to 50% of time traveling.

  • Support electrical debug of PCBAs at the CM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

  • 5+ years’ experience with debugging PCBA designs that include microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and/or sensors.

  • Experience with circuit-level debug to the component level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering test solutions to manufacturing facilities.

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing manufacturing test strategies for electrical subassemblies.

  • IPC-A-610 certification or familiarity.

  • Experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging RF electronics.

  • Programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB.

  • Experience writing software to control test equipment and devices under test (DUTs) using standard software tools.

  • Experience designing PCBAs of medium-to-high complexity.
