Experis IT ManpowerGroup has partnered with a leading American multinational corporation and technology company in the Redmond, WA area for a Contract Hardware Lab Technician role to assist their team. This is an on-site role.

Title: Hardware Lab Technician

Location: ONSITE– (Redmond, WA)

Duration: 12 months (Contract)

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm

Pay range: $35-$43 per hour.

Job Description

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: This team is the advanced development lab for DC groups. They build and test everything like battery systems, animation cooling systems, etc.

• Key projects: This role will contribute to deploying new colling systems.

• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 20% meetings, 80% heads down.

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.

• High degree of proficiency:

• Low-voltage electrical maintenance.

• Circuitry and electrical troubleshooting - highly preferred!!

• Laboratory equipment - Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, etc.

• Basic knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of telecommunications systems.

• Basic understanding of:

Soldering and PCB Layout,

3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing

Cable routing and management

Assembly of racks, wiring servers, and network devices

Proficiency with Hand tools

• Facility and Electrical Safety (Lockout Tagout, Fall protection, etc)

• Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

• Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

• Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.

• Metal Fabrication Skills (welding, machining, etc) a plus

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

• Minimum 3+ year’s experience with cooling experience; Liquid-to-air and liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger for IT/DC infrastructure experience

• Minimum3+ years experience with Server Setup and Diagnostics experience - Load programs, BIOS/Firmware updates, etc.

• Minimum 3+years experience with 3D Modeling experience.
