Our client, a leading technology company in the embedded systems industry, is seeking a Firmware Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Firmware Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Firmware Development and QA teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Firmware Validation Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA 98052 (Onsite)

Pay: $70/h + Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with system and firmware architects to gather requirements, develop validation plans, create test content, and automate execution processes.

• Work with architects, firmware, program management, and component development teams for day-to-day operations and long-term improvements.

• Develop and deploy innovative methods to enhance test coverage, automation, and efficiency of firmware releases.

• Own the integration, validation, and debugging of SOC and Platform firmware, including validation environment setup.

• Create and maintain automated dashboards reflecting system health and quality for decision-making purposes.

Requirements:

• 5-20 years of experience in programming with C, C++, and Python.

• Proficiency with low-level drivers for peripherals such as PCIe, I2C, eMMC, SPI, USB, UARTs, and hardware debuggers like JTAG, Oscilloscope, and Logic Analyzer.

• Hands-on experience with platform initialization, board support packages (UEFI/U-Boot), memory management, scheduling, interrupts, and multi-threading.

• Strong knowledge of security protocols including MbedTLS, RSA-Keygen, and Key vault.

• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for platform-level issues and system integration validation.
