Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:
Design and develop local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN), and facilitate network implementation. Create network design documentation and collaborates with cross functional teams to facilitate the deployment and development of data centers or network sites. Test, analyze, and validate network designs, hardware, and telemetry data to identify issues. Develop, utilize, or advocate for the adoption of automated testing and validation procedures. Suggest improvements to network devices, firmware, or configurations to increase efficiency, improve performance, reduce operational burden, minimize human error, and prevent bugs or service interruptions. Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from any location in the U.S.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics, or a related field.
- Education or Experience in: Networking Routing and Switching; Network Monitoring; Network Trouble Shooting and Problem Solving; Understanding Network TCP/IP Stack; Understanding Network OSI Model; Project Management Skills; and Scripting.
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (V12879246), in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $129,771 to $159,771 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location,
such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
