Required Qualifications

  • Holds a K-8Reading/Literacy (#148) endorsement from the BOEE, or be eligible to obtain

  • Possess effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

  • Possess a general understanding of the learning process and specific knowledge of the unique physical, social, emotional, linguistic, and academic development of young students and other elementary school learners

  • Demonstrates extensive content knowledge in the areaof reading for young learners

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and sustaining classroom environments that promote learning (i.e. effective classroom management)

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in the design and implementation of lessons, differentiation of instruction, and assessment of student learning

  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Holds a K-8 Reading (#148) endorsement from the BOEE, or be eligible to obtain

  • Successful experience serving in a Primary classroom

  • Successful experience serving English Language Learners (ELLs)

  • Familiarity and understanding of Marzano instructional framework

  • Successful experience implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Support

  • Successful experience working in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)

  • Successful experience integrating technology in the classroom
