Program Assistant
Supportive Services for Veteran Families
SCHEDULE: Full-time, determined on a case by case basis
*GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: *Contribute to program support throughout the SSVF service area by providing quality assurance in the areas of program compliance, communication, and training needs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures case files are organized, meets eligibility, and documentation requirements are in compliance with funding requirements.
Provides follow-up as necessary with SSVF staff to mitigate identified deficiencies or errors.
Assists program director to coordinate appropriate staff training needs.
Travels regularly to all program sites to review staff and operational needs; reports back to program supervisor for follow-up and support.
Inputs required data for the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) database
Coordinates with case management providers to ensure HMIS data is accurate and up-to-date
Ensures consistent service delivery across the SSVF service area
Actively participates in regular team meetings for the purpose of program consistency, monitoring, effectiveness, planning and goal achievement
Participates in community-wide events promoting services
Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated high level of organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Experience working with Excel and Microsoft Office
Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability if applicable; reliable transportation
Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of two years' experience in social services/military training may be used in lieu of.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Office administration and project implementation preferred. Knowledge of homeless, domestic violence, and veteran populations.
