Janssen Biotech, Inc., one of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, and Legend Biotech USA Inc., have entered into a global, strategic collaboration to develop, manufacture, and commercialize a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. This innovative strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of two companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy CAR-T platform and investigational treatment.

Our Raritan, NJ Cell Therapy facility is scaling up operational flows to serve more patients and meet the highest quality standards without compromising manufacturing efficiency. This exciting new role works with the CAR-T Assets Maintenance & Calibration Manager and will be tasked with improving the Reliability and Maintainability of the assets supporting manufacturing operations onsite.

Carvykti Reliability Co-op Overview:

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for originating and developing analysis methods to determine reliability of our asset portfolio, striving for the optimum in terms of uptime and downtime (for service). As their co-op, your main responsibilities involve assisting them with the division’s reliability initiatives as listed below.

  • Help mature the Reliability Program at Raritan and progress roadmap deliverables.

  • Extract and trend process data to assist in trouble shooting investigations.

  • Modify Electronic Document Management System for quick and easy searching using established CMMS naming convention.

  • Identify and compile a comprehensive list of spare parts for critical assets and create a bill of materials in the CMMS.

  • Update CMMS with missing equipment and technical information.

  • Audit established and create new Preventative Maintenance plans for critical assets in partnership with OEMs and site SMEs.

Qualifications

For consideration in the CAR-T Reliability Engineer Co-op position, you must meet the following requirements:

Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future (F1 or H1B requires sponsorship in future).

Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.

Be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Ability to work full time (40 hours a week) for the full term. Planned April 2024, through September 2024.

Preferred previous co-op experience in manufacturing and/or pharmaceuticals.

The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $24.00/hr, Junior $25/hr, Senior $27/hr, Master’s degree $32/hr.
